Tube Bending
For more than 60 years, we have been a trusted name for fabricated tubular component needs, and our tube bending services are no exception. We offer a wide range of bending options, employing more than 30 manual benders and 12 automated CNC bending cells in-house.
Our 12 in-house precision CNC benders deliver left and right as well as interpolation and push capabilities. Due to this flexibility, we are able to manufacture to unique and demanding designs. In fact, our unique fabrication cells are highly flexible and cost effective.
With manual and CNC tube bending capabilities in house, we are able to offer: vertical and horizontal press bending, mandrel, ball mandrel, wiper dies and high-speed compression.
Why is Tube Bending Important?
Tube bending is typically performed on round shaped tubes in order to create a specific part, such as a lawn mower handle. In fact, you can often achieve a completed part direct from the manufacturer, saving you time and money. Generally speaking, tube bending is designed to give you a smooth, clean bend without any flattening in the joint.

Applications that require bending tubes can be daunting when you look at them. In fact, tubing bent to specific angles (ie, 45 degrees, 90 degrees) are often assembled into a final part. Some products that utilize tube bending include:
- The handle on your lawn mower
- Seat framework in transportation
- Tube enclosures for home generators
- Pull handles on agricultural equipment
- Seating that can be found in restaurant furniture
Bending is typically is performed on ASTM A513 tubes. Since ASTM A513 tends to have a lower carbon content than ASTM A500, it is easier to bend the material to the stringent specifications you require.
